What started with two technology enthusiasts back in 2007, determined to do things better, has evolved into a close-knit team of experts who all share one vision: Making technology work for businesses, not the other way around.
Future founder and Technical Director of One2Call Danny Kirkby is born in Sheffield.
Danny is the oldest of three, with two sisters, Becky and Steph, who would also go on to work at One2Call).
A few years later future Managing Director of One2Call is born, also in Sheffield.
While Danny's family is in the business, with Nick business is in the family. Growing up his parents owned their own restaurants, showing young Nick the
Danny decides businesses aren't getting a good enough service from phone system installers, and starts his own business to prove it can be done better.
Taking advantage of the deregulation of the UK telephone network, Nick forms Bass Comms, providing telecoms packages to South Yorkshire businesses.
Danny provides systems, Nick provides services - it's a no-brainer! They decide to work together, and One2Call is formed.
One2Call becomes one of the first providers of SIP trunks (voice calls over the internet) to SMEs in South Yorkshire as part of an early adoption trial. It wasn't without it's hiccups, but soon allowed One2Call
Due to the success of our customer-first approach to telecoms, customers keep asking if we can support their IT too!

Despite being a small independent, we helped South Yorkshire businesses claim more than £250,000 in Government grants towards business-boosting better broadband!
As reach the mid-point of the 2010s our IT support, networking and security services really start to grow. More people in this team pic deal with IT support and IT networking than telecoms and connectivity. Amazingly, six of the nine people shown are still with One2Call!

In 2012 we were proud to support live and local music by sponsoring a stage at Mosfest, a popular Sheffield music festival that has been running since 2012. Cast and The Lightening Seeds were amongst the acts performing.
As our customers became more mobile, they required better security and device management. This picture is out first ever batch of Mobile Device Management handsets.
As our cloud and security services expand we decide to formalise our expertise by qualifying as Microsoft partners. This puts us in a good place to help our customers during the COVID inspired rush tot he cloud.
Our continued growth inevitably meant we'd need more space. Thankfully a 10,000 sq ft unit became available just around the corner - so in 2021 we made the short move from Unit 16 to Unit 2 Longacre Close!
Our growing status in the community is reflected by a new partnership with Sheffield Wednesday FC.
